The company iRiver, is apparently preparing to release two new products based on the operating system Android. Photos of the company’s press materials published Korean resource Cetizen. The new models – the first for the iRiver smartphone based operating system Android, which is called the iRiver Vanllia I-L1, as well as the tablet based on the same platform – iRiver TAB ILT-MX100. The documents are image devices, and their description.
Based on these data, the model of iRiver Vanilla features a 3.5-inch touchscreen, built on a 800 MHz processor and operating system, Android 2.2. Also among the new features – Wi-Fi, GPS, DMB, Bluetooth.
As for the iRiver TAB, this model will take on the 7″ form factor alongside 3G connectivity, DMB support, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity and 16GB of internal memory – too bad it too, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo. Hopefully a software update will come soon. No idea on pricing, but it seems that they will be released sooner rather than later.[via]
