Samsung has launch new smartphone with touch screen namely, Samsung Galaxy W. The Galaxy W which powered by a single core 1.4 GHz processor offering excellent performance. The new mobile phone has a 3.7 inch LCD display of 480 X 800 pixel resolution. The touch screen is capacitive with multi touch, proximity and light sensors. Galaxy Y will feature in it a 3.0 inch screen. It's a TFT touch screen with 256 K colors and nothing much special other than touch sensitive controls in it. 240 X 320 pixel isn't too bad, but the phone would've got much better looks with improved pixel support of the screen.

The Samsung Galaxy W comes with an Android 2.3 embedded in it which is exactly the same in Galaxy Y with the phone having a v2.3 Gingerbread. Both the phones have many features pre loaded in it. Galaxy W has the features much more enhanced than that in Galaxy Y, but the price for the phone is increased along with that. So both the phones are equally outstanding with their own unique features.

Samsung Galaxy W have camera in with a 5 Mega Pixel with an included LED. The device has features like smile detection and panorama mode. While it's a 2 MP camera in Galaxy Y with the device offering a Geo tagging facility and nothing more.

The connectivity of the devices powered by a Bluetooth and WiFi. The Bluetooth is a 3.0 in both the latest handsets and WiFi802.11 b/g/n too is present. Both have a microUSB 2.0The audio jack is standardized to a 35mm in the devices.

The added features of the phones includes the general Android Galaxy Phone features like Accelerometer, compasses and online applications like Google search, Google Talk etc is also available. The handsets are Picasa integrated. Other highlighted features are a document viewer with multi format supports capable of handling the most commonly used data files. The phones are capable of giving quick access to social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter etc. The YouTube video streaming is now much faster in both the devices.
